Camera Brand Decisions (kinda)
Choosing a horse...
Hey everyone 👋
Welcome to this week’s Shuttercraft 101 newsletter.
At the end of the day, gear matters (a) little…
A few months back I picked up a steal of a bargain on a barely used (2k shutter count) Canon Rebel T6s off of eBay.
I paired it with a used Canon EF 50mm f1.8 lens I scored from MPB.
As of now; mind blown.
What a killer combo!
All for less than $400 USD total!
I am so pleased with and creating some killer images with it.
My Nikon Z50 will always have its place and will be far from dormant but I've come to conclude I'm primarily going to use (and build on) a Canon system.
Besides, with the price of lenses, who can afford to build on two completely different systems, right?
Anyways, while I do think gear matters at some point, I haven't necessarily reached that point.
You can do some great work with a 9-year old camera and lens.
See some of the images below, all shot with this exact setup.
Cool find and share
This is a really cool link I saw in a Nikon FaceBook group the other day I wanted to share: https://zlens.ahwahha.net/lens.html
All of the following pictures were created with a Canon Rebel T6s and a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lens (for the money - this is one sharp lens).
I hope you like them and do comment and tell me which is your favorite.

Awesome score Joshua! I like them all. Why do you like black and white as opposed to color?
